About the Book
The book presents the subject matter in fully conformity with the syllabi prescribed by C.B.S.E., New Delhi and Education Boards of other Indian States. To keep pace with changing trends in education at national level, the whole test has been arranged strictly according to NCERT Pattern. The main stress has been laid on Si System. The symbol and signs used for various physical quarries are also in keeping with the recommendations at national and international levels.
The book provides a result-oriented training to the young students. The whole text of the book is embedded with Window First Basic Use of Formula (containing a direct and simple formula based Numerical Problem, which lets the students as to how the formula derived in an article to be used to solve a Numerical Problem) and short notes in the form of The jargon (introducing apparently a new physical term with a proper definition). Key point (highlighting an important point in the text) and Watch out (bringing out the difference between the physical and apparent meaning of a physical term). Further, the text has been studded with simple Self-Study Questions, so as to provide an insight and a proper grip over the topic, as one learns it. In each Chapter, Concepts, Tips and Tools (CT&T) have been provided so as to enable the students to answer Very Short Answer Questions, Short Answer Questions and to solve typical Numerical Problems. Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) forms a new feature of the present edition of the book. It covers Conceptual Short Answer Questions, typical Numerical Problems and application based questions in Cambridge examinations.
The article work in each chapter of a unit is coupled with well graded and carefully selected Solved Numerical Problems for easy comprehension of the beginners. These Solved Numerical Problems have been categorized into two parts viz. From Board Examinations and From Competitive Medical Engineering Examinations, such as N.E.E.T., JE.E. LI.T., Roorkee, L.S.M., Dhanbad, etc. Marry such problems have been provided with solutions by adopting a novel technique in the form of Thought Process. Armed with this technique, the students will be able to attack the otherwise brain-teasing and seemingly incomprehensible numerical problems with great e. So that the students can prepare for the Annual Examinations in an independent manner, a large number of Very Short Answer Questions and Short Answer Questions have been incorporated in the book with proper Answers/Hints. Unsolved Numerical Problems for self-practice have been categorized into various types, so as to enable the students to choose the appropriate formula with ease. Further, detailed Hints/Solutions have been provided to Unsolved Numerical Problems. As per the guidelines provided by CBSE, Assertion & Reasoning Type Questions and Case Study - Questions (Multiple Choice Questions based on a Paragraph) have been incorporated in the present edition of the book under the heading Assorted Short Answer Questions provided at the end of each unit of the book. As in the recent examinations of class XII conducted by C.B.S.E. and School Education Boards of a few other Indian State, Fill in the blanks and True/False Type Short Answer Questions are being set, to enable the students to prepare themselves for these types of questions also, under this newly created heading, such types of Short Answer Questions have been incorporated.
The book contains fully solved N.C.E.R.T. Textual Questions and N.C.E.R.T. Exemplar Problems at the end of each unit of the book.
Competitive Examination File at the end of each unit forms another special feature of the book. Multiple Choice Questions set in the various competitive examinations, such as J.E.E. and N.E.E.T. Examinations held up to 2022-23 along with the questions in the past C.B.S.E. (Preliminary & Mains), ALIM.S., A.F.M.C. C.P.M.T. ALE.EE, MNR, LAT, etc., have been thoroughly covered in the book. Hints/ Solutions have been provided to typical Multiple Choice Questions set in such Examinations.
Fully solved J.E.E. Mains and N.E.ET. papers set in 2023 Examinations have been provided to give students a close feel of the pattern of the questions set in such Competitive Examinations.
